Target Taps Social Networks for Black Friday Ads

Target is counting on Facebook and Twitter for its Black Friday advertising push this holiday season. The retailer is running a sponsored ad on Facebook that includes a 27-second video featuring the return of Target’s TV ad character from 2009, a crazed female shopper portrayed by comedian Maria Bamford.

The Twitter ad uses the #BlackFriday hashtag in a promoted trend ad. Those who click the ad are taken to a landing page with advertising copy.

  1. Thanks I finally came to a website where the webmaster knows what they’re talking about. Do you know how many results are in Google when I search.. too many! It’s so irritating having to go through page after page after page, wasting my day away with thousands of owners just copying eachother’s articles… bah. Anyway, thanks for the information anyway, much obliged.
